The Wild Waves Background Stamp is a fun whimsical design and looks great with any of our Seaside themed stamps! Our Background Stamps cover an A6 (6” x 4”) card front. They can also be used for art journals, scrapbooking, mixed media, mail art, travellers notebooks and more! Each stamp is mounted on cling foam ready for use on a Background Stamping Block.
Here’s a few different ways this stamp can be used. Click on the images for more information about each project.
Belinda Spencer stamped and embossed the Wild Waves in white embossing powder and inked over the top with Distress Inks to create a resist. Belinda cut apart some of the waves to add in the fish from the Under The Sea Stamp set. The 'sun' is from the Small Sketched Alphabet Stamp Set and the sentiment is from the Happy Birthday Stamp Set.
Here's another card using the same technique and stamps, along with the Wild As The Sea Quote Stamp.
Jane Clark created a real under the sea look by stamping the Wild Waves a few times to create more waves and watercoloured over the top to bleed out the ink a little to give it that watery look. Jane also used the Under The Sea Stamp Set and Wild As The Sea Quote Stamp.
Here's an art journal page by Belinda where she has stamped the Wild Waves in white and used the waves as journaling lines!
Another card using the white embossing resist technique. You can watch Rachel create this card here.
