Hello Darkroom Door fans! Happy New Year! It's Belinda Spencer here today to share some projects with you featuring the stunning new Tropical Leaves Rubber Stamp Set using my favourite watercolour stamping technique. The leaves in this set are so beautiful and lend themselves beautifully to a watercolour look.
Instructions:
1. Cut a piece of green cardstock 14cm x 20cm. Fold in half to form the card base.
2. Cut a piece of smooth white cardstock 9.5cm x 13.5cm. Stick down on the card base.
3. On a separate piece of smooth white cardstock, stamp the Boxes 3 Up Frame Stamp using Jet Black Archival Ink. Place the Boxes 3 Up Small Stencil over the top and apply Peacock Feathers Distress Ink to the boxes using an ink blending tool. Spritz a little water on your fingertips and flick the water over the image. Dry with a heat gun and then cut out the boxes. Stick down on the card front using 3D foam.
4. Apply Distress Inks to the various leaves from the Tropical Leaves Stamp Set and spritz with water. Stamp on the extra piece of white cardstock. Use a soft wet paintbrush to blend the stamped images a little. Flick some more ink over the top using the paintbrush and then dry with a heat gun. Fussy cut all of the leaves.
5. Stamp the flower pot from the Gardening Vol. 1 Stamp Set using the Jet Black Ink. Colour the pot with watercolour pencils and blend with the paintbrush. Dry with a heat gun and fussy cut.
6. Stamp the Sitting Cat on the extra cardstock using the Jet Black ink. Colour with the watercolour pencils and blend with the paintbrush. Dry with the heat gun and fussy cut. Arrange all fussy cut pieces on the card front and stick down. Use 3D foam behind some elements to add dimension to the card.
7. Stamp the sentiment on the extra white cardstock using the Jet Black ink. Fussy cut and add to the card using 3D foam

Instructions:
1. Cut a piece of green cardstock 14cm x 22cm. Fold in half to form the card base.
2. Cut a piece of smooth white cardstock 9.5cm x 13.5cm. Squish three different green Distress Inks onto an acrylic block or heat resistant craft sheet. Spritz water onto the white cardstock. Use a medium soft wet paintbrush to pick up the ink and add to the cardstock to create a wash of colour. Dry with a heat gun. Ink the edges of the cardstock with green ink. Stick down on the card front.
3. Use the three green inks to ink up the Bold Arrows Eclectic Stamp. Ink the stamp from lightest at the top to darkest at the bottom to create an ombre effect. Spritz with water and stamp on a separate piece of smooth white cardstock. Dry with a heat gun, fussy cut and add to the card front using 3D foam.
4. Use Tree branch Archival Ink to stamp the Compass Eclectic Stamp on the extra cardstock. Use a die or punch to cut out. Ink the edges with Twisted Citron Distress Ink. Add to the card front.
5. Apply the green inks to a variety of leaves from the Tropical Leaves Stamp Set, spritz with water and stamp on the extra cardstock. Smooth out the ink on the stamped images using the wet paintbrush. Flick some water over the surface of the images and then dry with a heat gun. Fussy cut all of the leaves and glue together. Add a wood veneer or chipboard arrow to the stems of the leaves and wrap with jute and coloured thread. Stick down on the card front using 3D foam behind the leaves.
6. Stamp a sentiment using the Tree Branch ink. Fussy cut and add to the card front using 3D foam.
