Hello stamping folk! Teresa Abajo here with a couple of ideas using the new Step-though Bicycle Eclectic Stamp.
There are so many occasions when a bicycle stamp is handy - it's the quintessential fun, carefree and happy icon. I was also thrilled to have another image to use with all the awesome sentiments in the Enjoy the Ride stamp set! Other sentiments such as Happy Birthday or Thank You would also work with this image.
Here's the first card:
Instructions
1. Stamp the bicycle using black ink on the centre of a 13.3 x 9 cm piece of white cardstock. Mount this onto some black cardstock then onto a folded white card.
2. Stamp the chevrons a couple of times using Aquamarine ink. Use the second generation impression so that the chevrons are lighter.
3. Using the green Scribble Stick, draw a couple of lines under the bike for the ground. Spread the colour out using a water brush. Dry well.
4. Apply a little yellow Scribble Stick to an acrylic block, pick up the colour with the water brush and add short strokes to indicate flowers. Repeat with the orange and red Scribble Sticks.
5. Stamp the sentiment using black ink, trim to size, mount onto black cardstock, then onto the card front.
Supplies used:
Darkroom Door Step-through Bicycle Eclectic stamp
Darkroom Door Chevron Texture Stamp
Darkroom Door Enjoy the Ride Rubber Stamp Set
Archival ink Jet Black, Aquamarine
Dina Wakley Media Scribble Sticks
Aquash brush - broad
This next card uses a partial image that is highlighted using die cut circles and sequins
Instructions
1. Stamp the chevron image using Broken China Distress Oxide ink.
2. Stamp the bicycle onto white cardstock using black ink. Die cut with a circle die. Mount this onto a slightly larger circle that has been cut from black cardstock.
3. Add some spatters with some Broken China Distress Oxide ink and water to a 9.5 x 13.8 cm piece of white card. When dry, adhere the bicycle image to the left hand side.
4. Stamp the sentiment on the bottom right hand corner using black ink, then mount this piece onto some black cardstock, then onto a folded white card.
5. Use little dots of Glossy Accents to adhere sequins to the card. Add some blue enamel dots.
