The Three Strips Stencil has three open strip sections that can be used to create panelled backgrounds and patterns for stamping inside or layering stencils and stamps over the top. It's also a great stencil for using as lettering or journaling blocks, addressing envelopes and more!
Our small stencils are 4.5" x 6" (11.5cm x 15.5cm) in size on the outer edge and each strip measures 4.13" x .75" (10.5cm x 2cm)
Here are a few projects using this stencil to inspire you! Click on the image to see the instructions and/or the artist's page.
For this first card, Suzz used the Three Strips Stencil to create a blended background and stamped the World Map Background Stamp through the stencil to give the strips some pattern. Suzz then used stamps from the Tick Tock, Dashing Gents and Library Books Stamp Sets to add to the card.
For this card, Rachel created a blended background with Shaded Lilac and Tumbled Glass Distress Inks through the Three Strips Stencil onto a large Strathmore folded card. The texture looks lovely on this cardstock and the stencling works really well. Rachel then placed the Lavender Stencil over the background and sponged Seedless Preserves Distress Ink through the stencil. The sentiment is from the Happy Birthday Stamp Set. You can watch how this is created by clicking on the image:
Another fun way to use this stencil is to create colourful mail art envelopes! Rachel created this envelope using Squeezed Lemonade, Dried Marigold and Spiced Marmalade Distress Inks through the Three Strips and Wildflowers Stencils.
As you can see, this is a great stencil that can be used to create colourful patterns and backgrounds! It can also be combined with many of our other stencils too! Click here to see all of our stencils!
Have fun creating!
