This stamp set is full of more yummies... like Smarties (or M&M's whichever!), ice cream cones, lollies and licorice allsorts! Perfect party food - which means these stamps are great for all sorts of celebrations! (and perfect for eating after the photo shoots too! That bowl of Smarties was a BIG bowl too!! Gosh it's a hard life here at DD HQ, but someone has to do it!)
Moving right along, here's some projects...
This first card by Godelieve shows the bowl of smarties coloured in with watercolours. She's also created a bunting with the ice cream cone! Very clever!!
Here's a card showing the full ice cream cone:
If you notice on the stamp tin, the ice cream cone stamp is separate to the actual scoop of ice cream stamp. Yes, it's intended to be that way so you can cut them out separately. This allows you to create multiple scoops for your cone like the card above. I've stamped the cone in Toffee Versafine ink on white cardstock. Then stamped the scoop onto white cardstock with Toffee ink (stamped off first, then stamped again to get a lighter shade of the Toffee inkpad.) I did the same with the Satin Red Versafine ink to make it look light pink and to look like strawberry ice cream. Then simply cut them out and layered them on the cone! Does that make sense? If you'd like some step by step photos, let me know and I'll share them on the blog here sometime.
Anyway - hope that explains how to use the cone and scoop stamps!
Another great stamp in this set is the licorice all sorts. Both Godelieve and I have created samples for this one:
Godelieve has used an ecoline background and stamped over the top, then added more colour with pencils. See the full details here on Godelieve's blog.
Here's my card:
I've used Marvy Le Plumes to colour the stamp. I've stamped a few of the words onto the card background too, and onto the little tags.
Yummy! Hope you've enjoyed loojing at these projects! We'll be back tomorrow to share projects created with the Sweet Treats paper projects :)
