Happy Monday stampers! We have some awesome project ideas to share with you today by Belinda Spencer and Teresa Abajo using the new Surfboards Photo Stamp!
This stamp screams of hot summer days, weathered beaches, sand, surf and seashells! It's one of those stamps that is suitable for all ages, boys and girls, anyone who loves a day at the beach! Let's take a look at some projects. First up is a card by Belinda Spencer:

Next we have some cards from Teresa:
I stamped the word 'sunshine' from the Seaside Vol 2 stamp set onto the corner of a piece of KaiserCraft Pickled Pear patterned paper, distressed the edges and adhered this to a kraft card. Then stamped the Surfboards image in Jet Black Archival ink, and then washed over the whole thing with Old Paper Distress Stain.
Distressed the edges of this piece and then wrapped some raffia around it. Then stamped some little shells from the Seaside Vol 2 stamp set, cut them out and adhered them over the raffia knot.
----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
I thought this Surfboards stamp would make a wonderful feature for a beach party invitation. I stamped the image onto whte cardstock with Jet Black Archival ink, and coloured the background with Distress Stains (Tumbled Glass for the sky,Faded Jeans for the water and Scattered Straw for the sand). I then stamped the image on five different patterned papers from the KaiserCraft Life of the Party paper pad. I cut each surfboard from a different patterned paper, and stuck them on the coloured image.
I cut this piece out and attached it across a card so that the edges overhang. I stamped the words 'beach party' using letters from the Alphabet Medley stamp set, cut this piece out and attached it to the top of the card. Added some metal embellishments to finish it all off.
----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
I adhered some patterned paper from October Afternoon's Midway range to a cream card. I then adhered some strips of old book page to the card front. I stamped the surfboard image with Jet Black Archival ink, and coloured it with Distress Markers. To reduce the intensity of these colours, I scribbled each colour onto an acrylic stamping block and picked it up with an Aquash Brush. This gives a more subtle watercolour effect than applying the markers directly to the stamped image.
Once the image was dry, I cut it out and stamped the quote from the Seaside Vol 2 stamp set in the top right hand corner. I then stapled a piece of twine trim to the bottom right hand corner and over this, I adhered the word 'summer' from the Seaside Vol 2 stamp set.
Aren't these fantastic projects!! A huge thanks to Belinda and Teresa for sharing these with us today! It's almost summer time here in Australia... perfect time to be hanging at the beach :)
Have a great day! Thanks for stopping by!
