Hello happy people! It's Teresa Abajo with a couple of cards I made using the awesome new Texture Stamp called Sunshine.
The Sunshine stamp is a great way to embellish the focal point of a card, scrapbook page, art journal page or any other project.
In my first sample I have used it to draw the eye to the butterfly in the centre of the card:
I stamped the Stitched Threads Frame stamp using Archival Jet Black ink, and then stamped the Sunshine image in the centre of it using Distress Oxide Broken China. I used some of the words from the Dream Catchers stamp set for the bottom of the card.
I then stamped one of the images from the Butterfly stamp set in black ink on a gel print I made with one of the new stencils - Large Circles. I fussy cut the butterfly, then stitched it in place in the centre of the Sunshine with a sewing machine.
I left lots of thread attached to the butterfly and loosely wound it around and secured it in place with a few adhesive diamantes.
Supplies used:
Darkroom Door Sunshine Texture Stamp
Darkroom Door Stitched Threads Frame Stamp
Darkroom Door Dream Catchers stamp set
Darkroom Door Butterflies Stamp Set
Distress Oxide Broken China ink
Archival Jet Black ink
Black cotton thread
Adhesive diamantes aqua
In this second sample, I have used the Sunshine Texture stamp to centre a bit of an eccentric design:
I stamped the Sunshine Texture stamp using Distress Oxide Worn Lipstick ink in the centre of a white card front. Then I stamped a few of the stars from the Stars set using Distress Oxide Picked Raspberry ink and fussy cut them.
I stamped the word Celebrate from the Brushed Sentiments set using Versamark ink, and sprinkled some pink embossing powder on the bottom of the letters and some gold embossing powder on the top of the letters, before melting it with a heat gun and fussy cutting the word.
Then I assembled the card by balancing the word toward the right with the large star toward the left of the Sunshine image. The two smaller stars were adhered under the word and some adhesive diamantes placed here and there around the focal points.
Supplies used:
Darkroom Door Sunshine Texture Stamp
Darkroom Door Stars Stamp Set
Darkroom Door Brushed Sentiments Stamp Set
Distress Oxide ink - Worn Lipstick, Picked Raspberry
Embossing powder - pink, gold
Adhesive diamantes
