Hello, it’s Susie here. Today I’m sharing two pieces I’ve created using the Stitch Word Block Stamp. It was my first time using a Word Block Stamp and I had a fabulous time playing with it!
1. Stamp Stitch Word Block Stamp onto the front of a vintage dressmaking pattern packet using navy ink.
2. Layer this onto remnants of the dressmaking pattern to create a pleasing composition.
3. Stamp the Word Block Stamp once more onto a scrap of vintage paper to capture the word ‘button’ and an ‘s’. Use these along with the sentiment found in the Stamper stamp set.
4. Embellish work with fabric, trim, the stamped sentiment, hand stitching and buttons!
This art quilt was created in a similar way. This time I stamped the Stitch word block stamp onto dressmaking tissue paper along with the Singer sewing machine found in the Dressmaker stamp set. Then I layered it with fabric and embellished it with hand stitching and lace.
