Hi folks! Teresa here, and I have some cards I have created using the new Square Stencil set.
We are well and truly in the grips of the 'silly season' so it's wonderful to come across a product that is practical, time saving and easy to use. I have used the stencil part of the set to create a focal point for a couple of different images and sentiments, and then I have used it to create a colour blocking background.
Here's how I made these samples:
1. Holding the stencil down firmly, sponge some Pumice Stone Distress Oxide ink through it onto a 10 x 14.3 cm piece of white cardstock. While it is still in place, stamp the star cluster from the Christmas Reindeer set repeatedly using the same ink.
2. Remove the stencil, dry the ink with a heat gun, apply an antistatic pad over the area then stamp the word 'cheer' using the same ink. (Distress Oxide stays wet and embosses beautifully!). Sprinkle copper embossing powder over the word and melt with a heat gun.
3. Stamp the bauble and emboss again with copper embossing powder, then fussy cut. Sponge Pumice Stone and Tattered Rose Distress inks over the bauble and tie a silver twine bow at the top. Use foam tape to adhere to the card front.
4. Adhere the card front to a folded white card, then embellish with clear diamentes.

1. Holding the stencil down firmly, sponge some Tea Dye Distress Oxide ink through it onto a 10 x 14.3 cm piece of white card. While it is still in place, sponge just the edges with some Hickory Smoke Distress Oxide ink.
2. Remove the stencil and spatter some water droplets over the inked area. Allow to sit for a few seconds then blot with a tissue.
3. Stamp the daisy from the Viva la Flora Vol 2 set using black Archival ink.
4. Add a Tim Holtz Big Chat sticker and a diamente, then adhere this over some woodgrain patterned paper using foam tape. Adhere to the front of a folded white card.

1. Holding the stencil down firmly, sponge Mustard Seed Distress Oxide ink to create some solid blocks of colour. Dry the ink well with a heat gun and wipe the stencil clean.
2. Repeat the process with Festive Berries and Mermaid Lagoon ink, overlapping some of the sqaures and leaving some areas white.
3. Trim this piece down to 10 x 14.3 cm, then stamp 2019 using the Big Numbers stamp set using black Archival ink.
4. Stamp the sentiment using the stamp from the All Occcasions set using Distress Embossing ink, and sprinkle with white embossing powder. Melt with a heat gun, trim to size and adhere to card front using foam tape.
5. Apply small pieces of striped washi tape then adhere card front to a folded white card using foam tape.

Thanks for joining us! I hope you have gleaned some ideas to use with the Square stencil set. I look forward to exploring the options with the template part of the set - the square from the centre - to create frames and outlines on some future projects.
Season's greetings and Happy New Year!
Teresa
