Hello crafty people! Teresa Abajo here with a couple of ideas for the new Springtime Sprouts Line Art stamp.
The lines on these new Line Art images are thick and lovely, making them perfect for paper piecing techniques. I chose to use some gel printed papers on these samples, but you could use commercial designer papers or even create your own patterned paper using stamps, inks and paints.
Step 1
Create some patterned paper by gel printing using the Mesh Large Stencil and acrylic paints.
Step 2
Stamp the Springtime Sprouts image onto a 9 x 13.3 cm card front using Archival Jet Black. Stamp the image again onto the gel printed paper, and fussy cut the 'cup' part of each flower. Adhere these in place on the card front using glue.
Step 3
Layer the card front onto a 9.5 x 13.8 cm piece of gel printed paper, then onto some coordinating cardstock, then onto a folded white card.
Step 4
Apply adhesive diamonds over the end dots of each flower.
Step 5
Adhere a Tim Holtz Quote Chip or other stamped quote over the stem of the flowers.
This image is also versatile in that it can be used with the flowers growing upwards in the example above, or growing down as in the example below:
Step 1
Create some patterned paper using a gel plate and acrylic paint.
Step 2
Stamp the Criss Cross Texture Stamp using Evergreen Bough Distress Ink in the centre of a 9 x 13.3 cm card front.
Step 3
Stamp the Springtime Sprouts image onto the card front using Archival Jet Black. Stamp the image again onto the gel printed paper, and fussy cut the 'cup' part of each flower. Adhere these in place on the card front using glue.
Step 4
Layer the card front onto some coordinating cardstock, then onto some gel printed paper, then adhere to a folded white card.
Step 5
Apply Nuvo Crystals Drops to the end dots of each flower.
Step 6
Adhere a Tim Holtz Quote Chip or other stamped sentiment over the stem of the flowers.
