Hi, it's Rachel Greig here and today I have two quick cards to share using the Simple Sayings Vol 2 Rubber Stamp Set. I have combined it with the Fine Butterflies and Fine Flowers Vol 2 Rubber Stamps. Here's the first card with the Fine Butterflies:
1. Stamp the Fine Butterflies stamp onto hot press watercolour paper using Archival Jet Black ink pad. Stamp a sentiment from the Simple Sayings Vol 2 stamp set underneath with the same ink.
2. Swipe some Wilted Violet and Mowed Lawn Distress Ink onto a non-stick craft sheet and mist with water. Pick up the ink with a small paint brush and paint the inside of the butterfly, making sure to blend where the colours meet. Allow to dry.
3. Underline two of the words with Wilted Violet Distress ink to emphasise those words.
4. Lightly squeeze some dots of Diamond Stickles onto the butterfly and allow to dry.
5. Mount stamped panel onto light green cardstock and wrap matching colours of embroidery thread around the bottom and tie a bow at the front.
6. Mount onto a folded black card to complete.
Here's the next card with the Fine Flowers Vol 2 stamp set:
1. Stamp the Fine Flowers Vol 2 stamp onto hot press watercolour paper using Archival Jet Black ink pad. Repeat across the cardstock to create a bunch of flowers.
2. Swipe some Wilted Violet, Mowed Lawn and Broken China Distress Ink onto a non-stick craft sheet and mist with water. Pick up the ink with a small paint brush and paint the inside of the flowers with the Wilted Violet and Broken China, and the stems with Mowed Lawn ink. Allow to dry. Tear the bottom of the cardstock so the stems fall off the page.
3. Stamp a sentiment from the Simple Sayings Vol 2 stamp set onto violet cardstock with Archival Jet Black ink pad. Trim the violet cardstock and the stamped flowers panel to the same width, and adhere to a folded black card to complete.
