Today we're sharing projects by Jill and Melissa using our Seaside Vol 1 stamp set! First up, we have Jill's fab altered canvas:
Jill's used the Lighthouse stamp along with one of the quotes to create the canvas. Mixed media background with heaps of layers of "stuff".
The lighthouse image is stamped on watercolour paper and coloured with paint and inks.
She's a creative cookie our Jilly!
Next up, some beautiful cards by Melissa....
Notes from Melissa:
The starfish image was embossed using Jeweled Gold embossing powder…I love how it makes the starfish and sand sparkle. The seashell border was embossed using white embossing powder and leaves a defined but very subtle look. I distressed the starfish image by sanding and inking the cardstock and then machine stitching around the edges. The sentiment was then stamped on vellum cardstock to leave a soft look that blends into the rest of the card.
Can you believe how amazing the starfish looks with that embossing powder? They were made for each other I'm sure!! Here's Melissa's second card using the Lighthouse stamp:
Notes From Melissa:
I stamped the lighthouse image on newsprint paper because I wanted the newsprint to show through the opening of the lighthouse and around the edges…it creates a vintage, aged look. The sentiment is then added to the floral paper at the bottom and everything is tied in with seashells, tulle, and other embellishments.
I truly believe we have the best Creative Team ever! Look at all the details in these projects, the little tulle in between the mermaid and the shells, the layers of paint from Jill's canvas, the dreamy starfish stamping on Sarah's cards that were shown yesterday. And just wait until you see what Godelieve and Michelle have created with Seaside Vol 2 stamp set!!! Akkkk - seriously they are just beautiful!!! Their projects will be shown next week.
A big hearty thank you to our wonderful Creative Team for always inspiring us with your projects. I cannot find enough adjectives to describe how I feel about your creativity: amazing, fantastic, fabulous, gorgeous, unreal, stunning... you're all just down right talented!
Thanks to all the blog readers for stopping by too, hope you have a fab weekend!
