Sarah, Jill and Melissa from our Creative Team have been busy creating up a storm using the Seaside Vol 1 stamp set... so busy in fact that we need to use two blog posts to show you all of their beautiful projects! They are absolutely stunning, so make sure you read on!
First up, here's the stamp set they used:
A set full of dreamy images, words and quotes suitable for all sorts of projects. Today we'll share Sarah's projects with you. Here's her first card:
DD Products used:
* Seaside Vol 1 Stamp Set
* Broken China Distress Ink
* Chipped Sapphire Distress Ink
* Peeled Paint Distress Ink
Details from Sarah:
The base card is white bazzill cardstock. The background is a piece of blue/green bazzill cardstock that I inked all over with Chipped Sapphire distress ink. I wrapped some netting around it vertically, and wrapped some plaited trim around the top and bottom horizontally.
The main element is an ATC that I used as the feature of the card. I created the ATC background by using the wrinkle free distress technique. I heat set it with a heat tool, and then stamped the starfish stamp onto the background using Chipped Sapphire distress ink. I spritzed it with a mini mister, which intensified the look of the starfish.
"By the Sea" was stamped onto the ATC using white ink, and then heat embossed with white embossing powder. The background was then matted onto a white cardstock base, and attached to the card using foam mounting tape.
Here's another card by Sarah.... I just LOVE the neutral colours in this one:
DD Products used:
* Plaid Background Stamp.
* Seaside Vol 1 Stamp Set.
* Brushed Corduroy Distress Ink.
Details from Sarah:
I stamped the Plaid background stamp onto Kraft cardstock using Timber Brown Stazon ink. I wrapped some natural coloured netting around the middle, and then the background was adhered to a dark brown Bazilll cardstock base.
The lighthouse image was also stamped onto Kraft cardstock using Timber Brown Stazon ink. I then stamped onto the lighthouse image with the words "Lazy Days" and "At the beach". I then ripped around the edges of the image, and inked the edges with Brushed Corduroy Distress ink. The image was adhered to the card front using foam mounting tape.
The small shell was also stamped onto Kraft cardstock using Timber Brown Stazon ink. I then cut around the image, and adhered it to the card front using foam mounting tape.
And last but definitely not least... another card using the Lighthouse image but with brighter nautical colours:
DD Materials used:
* Seaside Vol 1 stamp set.
* Barn Door Distress Ink.
* Chipped Sapphire Distress Ink.
Details from Sarah:
I've gone with a very nautical colour combo of red, white, and blue, with some metal screw brads and some beige netting to enhance the theme.
I stamped the lighthouse image onto white cardstock with the Chipped Sapphire Distress ink, and gave it a light spritz of water with a mini mister.
The quote was stamped onto white cardstock using Barn Door Distress ink, then edged with Chipped sapphire using a foam blending tool. I then mounted it onto blue bazzill cardstock, and then attached it to the card front with foam mounting tape.
Wowee... just love these Sarah!!!! So stunning! Thanks so much for sharing :)
Tomorrow we'll show off Jill and Melissa's projects using this same stamp set... you don't want to miss it, so be sure to check back.
