We are still enjoying the summertime here in Australia and we are lucky to be spending some time at the beach! Have you ever walked along the beach and found some seashells? Today we'd like to bring a few shells to you by sharing projects using our Seashells Filmstrip Stamp! Our Filmstrip Stamps are a strip of images within a film frame, just as you'd get out of an old film camera! Use an entire strip or trim the images individually for different design combinations. Colour with watercolours, markers and more. Suitable for art journals, card making, scrapbooking, mixed media, and lots of other projects!
Here’s a few different ways it can be used. Click on the images for more information about that project.
Heather stamped the Seashells Filmstrip several times side by side to cover the entire card front using Distress Inks and Distress Oxide Inks. To create the watercolour effect, Heather inked the stamp and spritzed the stamp with water before pressing onto the cardstock, which will give a watercolour look. The sentiment is from the Friendship Sentiment Stamp.
For this card Connie used the Fishing Net Background Stamp over an inked background panel and stamped the Seashells Filmstrip Stamp to adhere over the top. Connie also used a seashell from the Seashells Stamp Set and sentiment from the Birthday Sentiment Stamp.
Connie stamped the Shells Background Stamp with Distress Oxide Inks to create the background and stamped the Open Sea Quote Stamp over the top. The Seashells Filmstrip was stamped and trimmed to take off the filmstrip edges. These edges were used on the top and bottom of the card, and the shell images were adhered to the left side of the card.
For this beautful card, Heather has combined the Seashells Filmstrip Stamp with the Seashells Stamp Set to create a stunning watercolour effect using Distress Inks.
Rachel used the Ocean Life Filmstrip Stamp with the Seashells Filmstrip Stamp and Seaside Word Block Stamp. The background was created by spring Dylusions Ink Sprays through the small Circles Stencil.
These are just a few ideas to show how this stamp can be used! If you’d like to see more Filmstrip Stamp projects, check out our other Filmstrip Stamp blog posts!
