We have some great cards to share with you today using the new Ribbons Stamp set! This set comes with 9 different styles of ribbon stamps and one of the great things about these stamps is they are long enough to cover the width of a 6" card. This means you can create borders or do all sorts of things with these fun stamps!
Here's a card Godelieve has created:
Notes from Godelieve:
Before cutting out the Ribbons stamps, I stamped the complete sheet a few times.
On this card I stamped the ribbons with Ranger Archival Ink #Olive.
I love how large the sheet is, large enough to cover a card!
I made a few cuts so I could put the stamped heart behind the ribbons.
The heart was stamped with Ranger Archival Ink #Vermillion and colored with Distress Ink #Dried Marigold and Barn door.
To finish off the card I stitched the edges and attached two small ends of stamped ribbon and a button to the card.
Here's a card by Rachel using all the ribbons and the sentiment:
Notes from Rachel:
I used three different ink colours to stamp all of the ribbons vertically. My ribbon stamps are cut out individually in the stamp set, so I stamped them individually with each different ink. If you wanted to use just one ink colour, you could just put several of the ribbon stamps together on a stamping block which would make it really quick and easy!
As these stamps are 6" long, the best stamping block to use is the Background Stamping Block.
Other ideas for these stamps:
* Use as a border - create your own faux ribbon!
* Use as flower stems
* Stamp vertically and horizontally to create a weaved effect
* Or create a real weaved card by stamping and trimming each ribbon and weave the cardstock pieces together
There's just a few ideas for the Ribbons stamp set! Very versatile and fun! Hope you enjoyed these cards and ideas!Ribbons Rubber Stamps - project ideas
