What an adventure! We are back home after the 2015 Stamping Cruise and buzzing from all the fun we had! I have to say, this cruise was amazing in every way. Our ship, Voyager of the Seas was refurbished only a couple of months before our cruise, so it looked like new and had lots of extra features for us to enjoy! The weather was incredible, our stamping group was amazing and the fun and laughs we all had together will now be memories that will last a lifetime. One of the things I love most about the cruise are the new friendships that are formed during our adventure. Everyone shared their creativity and excitement and we all had fun in the workshops and around the ship.
The projects we created had a mixture of techniques and ideas, from cards to home décor and a cruise album to store all our photos and cruise compass newsletters along the way. Here’s a look at the album, which was also a great place to store our Stamping Cruise ATC swaps!
Second class was a card making class using the retiform stamping technique. This is just one of the cards they made:
Third class was a home décor wall hanging with a seaside theme to remind them of their time at sea.
Class four was creating easel cards with lots of stamping and embellishments:
Class five was the Dreams Configurations Book class:
Our final class was stamping with Collage Stamps. This is just one of the cards we created:
As you can imagine, organizing an event like this is quite a big task and we couldn’t have done it without our fabulous helpers Simone and Michelle (and their families!). From packing kits to helping get all of our pallets up to the conference room, set up and help throughout the classes, they certainly deserved a cocktail (or three!) each night.
The goodie bags were packed to the brim with product donated by our favourite companies. Even Kung Fu Panda wanted to learn how to stamp!
Throughout the cruise, many of the stampers created cards to be sent to charities. Over 250 cards were created which is an amazing effort!
A big thanks goes out to all of the stampers and their families for joining us, sharing your creativity, laughter, enthusiasm and for making this cruise so memorable!
