Sarah has created some fabulous cards using a Pearlised Resist technique... don't these look amazing:
Darkroom Door Materials used:
* Wildflowers Vol 2 Stamp Set.
* Butterflies Stamp Set.
* All Occasions Stamp Set.
* Distress Inks - Embossing ink, Barn Door, Peeled Paint, WIld Honey, Broken China.
But wait! There's more!!!
Here's some details from Sarah:
I taught this set of cards recently as a class at Pages 2 Scrap where I showed the ladies how to do Jennifer McGuire's Pearlised Resist Technique.
The main technique is to stamp your images onto watercolour paper with embossing ink, and heat emboss with white embossing powder. You then apply your chosen Distress Ink colours over the top with a foam applicator brush, and spritz with pearl Glimmermist. The colours blend together nicely, and the Glimmermist gives your cards a lovely shimmer once dry.
With the 2nd set of cards, I first stamped using Jet Black Archival Ink, heat set by drying with a heat tool, and then doing the pearlised resist over the top.
To embellish, I stamped butterflies and sentiments in black ink onto white paper. I cut out the butterflies and stuck them directly to the card fronts, folding up the wings. The Sentiments were matted onto black cardstock and mounted to the front of the cards using foam mounting tape.
Just fabulous!! Thanks for sharing these with us Sarah!
