The Overlapping Blocks Background Stamp is a fun pattern that can be used in many different ways! You can use it for a colourful embossing resist background where you stamp and emboss the image in white and colour each block a different colour. You can also use it for fun retro style backgrounds and projects. It also looks great used for gel printing! As you'll see in the projects below, this stamp can be mixed with plenty of our other stamps and stencils to create fun and fabulous artwork!
Here’s a few different ways this stamp set can be used.
Anneke De Clerck has created a vibrant background by stamping and embossing the Overlapping Blocks in white embossing powder and coloured each block a different colour with watercolours. It creates such a fun, bright and colourful background! The sentiment is from the Happy Birthday Stamp Set.
Here is another card by Anneke using an embossing resist technique, this time using Gloss Sprays to colour over the top! Anneke used the Birthday Sentiment Stamp and flowers from the Full Bloom Vol 1 Stamp Set.
These next two cards by Belinda Spencer show how fun this Background Stamp looks for fun retro cards! Belinda stamped the Overlapping Blocks with black ink and coloured the blocks with different coloured pencils. This would be fun for kids to do too! Belinda then added stamps from the Ransom Alphabet & Simply Circles Stamp Sets along with the VW Beetle Photo Stamp.
Here's another card using different coloured pencils to colour the background, along with the Vinyl Record Eclectic Stamp, This Happened Small Stamp, Simply Circles and Melody Stamp Sets.
