Today we have some great projects using the Musical Cherubs Frame Stamp!
A very beautiful, detailed stamp with lots of possibilities! Here's what Liesbeth has created:
Gothic arch: I stamped the Musical Cherubs frame on a cut out arch (Sizzix Movers & Shapers: Arch Frame) with black StazOn ink and coloured it with Distress Markers and a waterbrush. I masked it and sponged the edges with blue and green Distress inks. I stamped the sentiment and branches.
(DDRS0018 Trees)
For this card I stamped the Cherubs frame on a big card with Memories Artprint Brown ink and masked it. I sponged the card with blue, green and pink Distress ink by using a branche template on the left side, and after that I stamped the trees, flowers, woman, the word Dream and the bridge with black, and some fragments of tekst with Artprint brown. I created a shadow around the frame with Black Soot Distress ink and a cotton tip and sponged the edges of the card black. I layered the card on pink, black and green cardstock.
Sachets: I stamped the frame onto a piece of white cotton fabric by using StazOn inks: I used Olive Green, Teal Blue and Royal Purple. I stamped the sentiments, words and images with black StazOn ink. I sewed three sachets, and added some lace at the tops.
Anna-Karin had fun stamping with the pretty Musical Cherubs Frame stamp. This stamp can be used as a frame, to hold a picture or a sentiment, or use only a little part of it to create something entirely different.
Details from Anna-Karin: I wanted a gilded frame and covered a piece of cardstock with foil tape. I painted the tape with Tarnished Brass Distress Paint and when dry, stamped the frame on top. Because I was a bit impatient, the paint was not entirely dry and the stamp pulled a little bit of it off, which created a nice distressed look. I distressed the frame more with a needle tool. The sentiment comes from New York Vol. 1.For the background, I gold embossed the Sheet Music Background stamp on a piece of cardstock which had been inked with Chipped Sapphire and Tarnished Brass Distress Stain.
You might see the metal of the gold frame better here. I thought the images from Love Letters Photo Chips worked perfectly inside the frame.
For my second card, I paired up the
Musical Cherubs stamp with Tim Holtz Sizzix Came Frame die, which has the same shape. It was die cut from patterned paper and the frame was stamped on top with
Ranger Archival Jet Black ink. I placed a silhouette die cut from
natural sticky-back canvas in the frame and embellished the card with paper clay letters and a flower. The background is dry embossed kraft-core cardstock.

Susie has also been busy creating fun projects with the Musical Cherubs! Check out these beautiful pieces:
Details from Susie: I think this new Darkroom Door frame stamp may well be one of my absolute favourites!!!
For this first piece, 'Always Find A Song', I stamped Darkroom Doors new frame stamp
'Musical Cherub', directly onto a piece of vintage sheet music that I had previously painted with a light layer of gesso. I then stamped the sentiment found in Darkroom Door's stamp set
'Chorus', into the centre of the frame and added the copyright number to the frame from some of the remaining sheet music. I then had a lovely time embellishing this piece with some pressed hydrangea flowers, silk fabric, sheet music and cross stitches.
For this next piece, I stamped the
Musical Cherubs frame onto a scrap of white paper and trimmed around both the inside and outside edges of the frame and layered it over a lovely image from Darkroom Doors
'Love Letters Collection Vol 2' stamp set using 3D mounting tape. I stamped 'Paris' found on the postcard of the same stamp set and placed it behind the lower section of the frame.
The frame was then added to a number of layered papers, including sheet music and embellished with Darkroom Door's postal stamp found in the
'Love Letters Collection Vol 1' stamp set and a floral image found on the
'Art De Fleur' montage sheet. Lace, silk fabric strips, buttons, flowers and pearls were then used to complete this collage.
We hope you have enjoyed the inspiration today with the Musical Cherubs Frame Stamp!
Wishing you all an inky weekend!
