Mini Mason Jar Cards

Hi stampers, it is Godelieve Tijskens here, showing two cards I made with the new Mini Mason Jar Eclectic Stamp. Loved creating with this stamp!

Although it is supposed to be a glass jar, on my first card I decided to do something else.

I started by colouring some smooth watercolorpaper using Distress Oxide Inks on my non-stick craft sheet. The colours I chose are Fossilized Amber and Spiced Marmalade. I let the paper dry completely.

Next I sponged the flowers using a Layering Stencil, Distress Oxide Wilted Violets and a mini ink blending tool

The Mini Mason Jar was stamped twice onto this paper with black Archival ink. I also stamped a butterfly, using Distress Oxide Wilted Violet. Love this ink for stamping crisp images. The lid was stamped onto silver paper, using black ink again.

I adhered a piece of mulberry paper in a matching color to the cream card. I glued the jars in place and attached the cut out butterfly. Words from the Bright Blossoms Vol 1 set, stamped with black ink, complete the card.

The second card has a painting theme

I started by coloring a background again, using Distress Inkpads Shabby Shutters and Iced Spruce on a craft sheet. After the paper had dried, I used black Archival Ink to stamp the Mini Mason Jar and the paintbrush from the Artist set.

I used a white pencil to add some fine lines, so it looks like the brushes are placed inside the jar.

The edges of the Splatter Background stamp were inked with Distress Oxide Iced Spruce to stamp around the jar. I also inked the Creativity Word Block stamp partly, to stamp next to the jar. The edges were inked with Distress Oxide Iced Spruce and a mini ink blending tool. I chose the words "one of a kind" from the Word Block Stamp, stamped with black ink to attach to the card and completed the card as shown.
