Hi there stampers! Are you ready for a little vintage? The Creative Team have been busy creating new projects with the Henry & Harriet Collage Stamp:
This is one of the new Collage Stamps recently released at Darkroom Door. The Collage Stamps are a real mixture of styles, all created using different elements to make up the complete design. This Henry & Harriet stamp just ooozes vintage... and the Creative Team took it to a whole new level. Let's see what they created...
First up is a couple of cards from Suzanne:
Details from Suzz: I love that the new DarkRoom Door collage stamp is called Henry and Harriet! They are posed for their portrait and they look so lovely in their finery.
The couple is framed in a house made using the numbers from the bottom of the stamp.
The background is a corrugated cardboard with the top layer pulled off in areas to expose the underneath layer. Smear white acrylic paint across the surface. Stamp the Corrugated Iron background stamp over the background using black ink.Stamp the script from the Vintage Office. Add touches of paper tape around the edges. Die cut the clock from kraft paper. Distress with brown dye ink. Stamp the numbers from Home Sweet Home using black ink over the surface. Add touches of white paint to the clock frame.
Stamp the Home Sweet Home sentiment using black ink on white cardstock. Distress with brown dye ink and ink up the edges with black ink. Cut into tag shape. Punch hole and add ribbon. Assemble the collage and add button accents to the side.
Susie has created a gorgeous necklace:
Details from Susie: I've been having a great time with Henry & Harriet at my house this week! I've had some TAP (transfer artist paper) by Lesley Riley tucked away for quite sometime and thought it was time to have a play with it. I stamped Henry and Harriet onto a piece of TAP and then ironed it onto some sage green raw silk. I was really impressed with how much detail was transferred. The piece then evolved into a necklace as I stitched and added layers of fabric, lace, paper and found objects.
Liesbeth has created a couple of stunning cards and tag...
Details from Liesbeth: I love this new Collage Stamp DDCS007 Henry & Harriet !! It doesn't need very much to create a nice card. Just the stamp and some color is enough !
I stamped the collage stamp onto a tag, colored it with Distress ink and a water brush and added some tissue tape.
Anna-Karin made a card and a tag with the new Henry & Harriet collage stamp.
Details from Anna-Karin: It is such a lovely stamp, the image is fabulous and I love the script in the background!
Henry & Harriet were stamped on cream cardstock with Archival Jet Black ink. I coloured the image softly with coloured pencils. I thought that it needed a frame and die cut a large oval ornate frame from cardstock. It was painted with Brushed Pewter Distress Paint and when dry, stamped with the French Script background stamp. The edges were inked with Black Soot and finally the frame was coated with a bit of Crackle Accents in a few places, and Glossy Accents everywhere else. For the background, I used a vintage dictionary page ('Opera') and aged it with walnut ink crystals dissolved in warm water. The same mix was used to age the ribbon and wooden embellishments. A sentiment from Love Letters Vol. 2 was stamped on a banner and the card was finished with a die cut rolled flower.
I also made a tag, where almost everything is aged with a mix of walnut ink. It gives the look of a really old and worn photo. Henry & Harriet were stamped with Archival Jet Black ink. I stamped a sentiment from Love Letters Vol. 2 on a die cut label, leaving out the large 'love' since there wasn't space for it, and instead replacing it with a Chit Chat sticker. The hearts were inked with Barn Door and coated with Crackle Accents.Happy stamping!!
