Sarah Schwerin has created this fun card set using the Hello Baby Vol 1 stamp set and Plaid Background stamp.
Here's some notes from Sarah:
I just LOVE that teddy bear stamp - it is just so cute and stamps up so well! For the background of each card, I stamped the Plaid Background stamp in ink that matched the pre-made card bases. I used Versacolor inks in ‘Orchid’, ‘Sky Blue’, ‘Canary’, and ‘Sand Beige’. The plaid pattern goes so well with the baby stamps - they are made for each other! I inked around the edges of the background with Jumbo Java VersaMagic ink.
The netting was white, and I inked it with the same colour ink that I stamped the images with, and also inked the edges of the background with. I wanted a dimensional look for my cards, so I have used double sided foam mounting tape to raise the images.
On the "Baby Boy" card, the greeting, booties, and bear are all single layers which have been raised with the foam tape.
The same was done with the pram on the "Hello Baby" card. For the background strip, I randomly stamped both the stars from the set in the Canary yellow, then stamped the "Hello Baby" with the Jumbo Java ink.
For the pink card, I stamped the bear image twice, and then cut out the head of the bear from one image and mounted it with foam tape on top of the full bear. The "Baby Girl" sentiment was also raised with foam tape.
The brown card takes the dimension one step further and not only mounts the bear's face, but his legs as well. Again, the "Welcome to the World" sentiment has been raised with foam tape as well.
These were so much fun to make! And the beauty about these designs is that you can pick the design you like and make it in what ever colour scheme you like to match the occasion!
