Hello stampers!! We have some great projects to share with you using the Guitar Photo Stamp!
This stamp is perfect for all those musicians out there - or anyone who appreciates and loves guitars! It can be stamped in so many ways, coloured in with different markers or inks to create your own unique creation. Michelle Loffler, Irene Tan and Rachel Greig share some fab ways it can be used. Let's take a look...
Stamp the Guitar onto white cardtsock with Archival Jet Black inkpad. Sponge Antique Linen Distress Ink over the image, then sponge darker colours: Frayed Burlap, Vintage Photo and Walnut Stain on the edges. Mount onto cream cardstock with antique brads. Adhere onto folded brown card.

Stamp the Guitar on white cardstock with Versamark ink then using a cotton makeup pad, add lots of layers of varying blues to the background and a mix of yellows, oranges and reds for the guitar. I used a similar technique that you'd use with Distress Inks ... slowly building up layers and being heavier in some parts. Once I was happy with the depth, I matted it on white cardstock. For the background I stamped the Scratches background stamp on patterned paper. I used some blue ribbon behind the photostamp and finished off with three words from the Music Wordstrips.

Supplies:
Cardstock: Bazzill; Pattern Papers: 7 Dots Studio; Inks: Ranger Inks, Tsukineko; Stamp: Darkroom Door Guitar stamp; Flower: Petaloo; Chipboard: Dusty Attic; Others: May Arts zipper, Viva Decor pearl pen, white gel pen, brad, thread for stitching, Beacon and other adhesives.
Technique to create the floating dimensional guitar:
1) First stamp the guitar stamp with black solvent ink onto a white cardstock.
2) Ink the stamped image with water based ink except the guitar.
3) Sprinkle some water onto the inked stamped image and let it dry.
4) Separately, stamped the guitar again with black solvent ink onto a pattern paper and cut out the guitar.
5) Color the image a bit using markers such as Copic marker and detail it with white gel pen and pearl pen. Use foam adhesive to attach it to the mail art to create the floating effect.
Hope this has given you a few ideas on how the Guitar Stamp can be used! A big thanks to Irene and Michelle for sharing their ideas with us too!!
Happy stamping!
