Hello everyone! It's Anna-Karin here with you today! The humble pencil is perhaps the most basic art supply and it holds so many possibilities. Today I am sharing a tag made with the new Pencils Eclectic stamp.
I just love this Pencils stamp and you can use it as it is, or only one pencil, or as I did make the pencils long and bunch them together. When I saw the Happy Quote stamp, I thought it was a perfect companion to the pencils.
Stamp pencils on smooth (hot-press) watercolour paper with Archival Jet Black ink, or another waterproof ink. I stamped more than I needed.
Colour the pencils with watercolours, colouring the same pencil on two different impressions with the same colour. Then cut them out. Cut the tip of one of the colours and glue together, to make a long pencil.
Ink the Peeled Paint background stamp with Shabby Shutters, Tumbled Glass and Broken China, mist with water and stamp on a manila tag. You can use stronger colours if you want to, I was in the mood for a light coloured project today.
Stamp the background with the Dots Texture Stamp and Fossilized Amber ink, ink the edges with Black Soot and use a Black Soot marker and the Distress Spritzer tool to add more texture. The sentiments were cut from the Prague Vol. 2 Wordstrips and sanded.
Use as many pencils as you want to and you can of course change the colours to fit your project.
Stamp the Happy sentiment with Archival Jet Black ink. Glue the pencils together and tie with a Linen Ribbon.
I also added some tissue tape and design tape to the tag and a few Mirrored Stars. The tag was tied with tissue tape folded over on itself, crumbled up and inked.
