Hi, it’s Anneke De Clerck here today to share some cards featuring the brand new Days Count Quote Stamp. I created two backgrounds using one of my favourite techniques: building layers with paint. Thanks to the bold font style of the quote stamp it was perfectly possible to stamp it on top of those rather busy backgrounds.
Instructions:
1. Cut a card panel out of a sheet of mixed media paper.
2. In order to add interest to the background start by stamping the rose from the Bright Blossoms Vol 2 stamp set using blushing and fuchsia paint.
3. Paint the rest of the background by applying blushing, lemon, cheddar, blue and grey paint with a flat brush.
4. Stamp script randomly with the Inky Script Background Stamp using Stazon Ink Teal Blue.
5. Stamp two white spirals with a stamp from the Grunge Marks set using white paint.
6. Stamps letters (D-A-Y-S) randomly using stamps from the Scratched Alphabet stamp set and lemon paint.
7. Stamp the quote on top of the painted background with Archival Ink Jet Black. For a crisp outcome use a stamping platform.
8. Fold a tab from a torn strip of fabric and glue in place.
9. Adhere the panel to a top fold card.
Instructions
1. Cut a card panel out of a sheet of mixed media paper.
2. Mix white paint with a small amount of black paint to create shades of grey. Apply grey and white paint to the background randomly.
3. Paint color blocks freehand with pink, blushing and grey paint using a flat brush.
4. Stamp with the Grid Texture Stamp randomly using Archival Ink Watering Can.
5. Stamp marks with various stamps from the Grunge Marks stamp set using white paint, Archival Ink Jet Black & Watering Can
6. Stamp the quote on top of the painted background with Archival Ink Jet Black.
7. Add accents with a white Sharpie.
8. Adhere the panel to a top fold card.
