I first began this page as an example of how to use Faber-Castell Gelatos and mists in a class I was teaching so the coloured base was already there. The colours were quite dark and I wanted the stamped image to really stand out so I swiped some gesso over the central area of the page using an old credit card. I gave it a couple of coats for good measure. Next I stamped the Create Art image onto the dry gesso using Jet Black Ranger Archival Ink. I coloured it in with various Tim Holtz Distress Markers and then misted it with water. I lifted the top of the page and sprayed a little more water in various places to make the colours run as you can see in this close-up.
Once dry, I applied various other stamps around the edges of the page to give the border more interest. Lastly, I flicked over some Tattered Angels Glimmermist to create a few more splatters of colour.
