Hi there! Belinda here today with some ideas using the Corrugated Iron Background Stamp!
Instructions:
1. Cut a piece of kraft cardstock 17.5cm x 26cm. Score and fold in half. Stamp the front of the card with the Darkroom Door Scratches Background Stamp using Jet Black Staz On.
2. Cut a piece of coordinating cardstock 16.5cm x 12cm. Distress and ink the edges using Vintage Photo Distress Ink. Stick down on the card front.
3. Cut another piece of coordinating cardstock 16cm x 11.5cm. Distress the edges and stick down on the card front. Apply the Darkroom Door Corrugated Iron Background Stamp onto watercolour paper with Jet Black Staz On.
4. Apply various Tim Holtz Distress Markers to the image. (Black Soot / Pumice Stone / Rusty Hinge / Antique Linen/ Old Paper) Blend the colours with a water brush pen and dry with a heat gun.
5. Flick some Antique Brass and Silver Sugar Glimmermist over the surface and dry with a heat gun. Distress the edges and ink with Black Soot Distress Ink. Stick down on the card.
6. Stamp a house from the Darkroom Door Home Sweet Home stamp set onto watercolour paper using Jet Black Staz On.
7. Apply white crayon to areas of the image and then colour with Tim Holtz Distress Markers as before. Cut out, ink the edges with Black Soot Distress Ink and stick down on the card using 3D foam.
8. Add all other embellishments.
Instructions:
1. Crop the Darkroom Door Venetian Collection San Marco pattern paper to 29.8cm x 29.8cm. Distress the edges and ink with Black Soot Distress Ink. Stick down onto a piece of kraft cardstock.
2. Using a template, apply gesso over the top with a paintbrush. Dry with a heat gun. Apply Glimmermist over the top and dry again.
3. Cut a piece of corrugated cardboard to size. Tear the edges, peel back random areas of the top layer to expose the corrugations and distress the edges. Paint roughly with gesso. Stick down on the layout.
4. Stamp the Darkroom Door Corrugated Iron Background Stamp onto white specialty stamping paper using Jet Black Staz On.
5. Apply white crayon to the highlight areas of the image and then rub in Pumice Stone Distress Ink. Buff with paper towel. Distress the edges and ink with Black Soot Distress Ink. Stick down on top of the corrugated cardboard piece.
6. Distress the edges of the photo and ink with Black Soot Distress Ink. Mount the photo on a piece of pattern paper cut to size. Distress the edges of the pattern paper and ink with Black Soot Distress Ink. Stick down on the layout.
7. Add all embellishments, the title and quote stamped from the Darkroom Door Home Sweet Home stamp set.
