Hi there! Today we’d like to share some ideas using the Cogs Texture Stamp! This is a great stamp for adding text layers to your projects!
This is a great stamp for adding an industrial look to your project! This stamp can be used to add stamped layers to your backgrounds or used as a focal point for your project. Let’s take a look at a few card and tag ideas:
For this card Rachel stamped the Time Machine Quote Stamp in the centre of the yardstick using Archival Jet Black ink, then stamped around the quote using the Cogs Texture Stamp and clock stamps from the Tick Tock Stamp Set. To create the light stamping, Rachel used Frayed Burlap Distress Oxide Ink. Then Rachel stamped the Cogs Texture Stamp in Ground Espresso Distress Oxide Ink and embossed with Hammered Mixed Media Embossing Powder to give it a rusty textured finish.
Here’s a great tag idea from Anna-Karin:
Anna-Karin has created a stunning tag with lots of layers including the Cogs Texture Stamp! The Cogs were embossed using Copper Embossing Powder and it really makes them stand out. To see how Anna-Karin created this tag, please visit her blog here.
For this card, Rachel created a background with Antique Linen, Vintage Photo and Frayed Burlap Distress Oxide Inks, then stamped a quote from the Tick Tock Stamp Set with Archival Jet Black ink. Next, Rachel stamped the Cogs Texture Stamp on the left side with Vintage Photo Distress Oxide Ink and embossed with clear embossing powder. Then using a mask over the first set of cogs, repeat the stamping and embossing again underneath to create a full border along the left side. Adhere to black card stock and onto a folded Kraft card.
These are just a few ideas to show how this stamp can be used on your cards and for journals and other projects! If you’d like to see more Texture Stamp projects, check out our Texture Stamps Pinterest Board!
