Hi stampers! Today we are sharing some projects using the new Clocks Background Stamp! This stamp has layers of different sized clocks that can be stamped as a complete background, or you can also punch out or trim some of the complete clocks from the artwork. Very versatile stamp!
This first card by Rachel Greig shows how it looks stamped as a complete background:
Stamp Clocks Background Stamp onto kraft cardstock using Jet Black Archival Ink pad. Sponge around the edges with Vintage Photo Distress Ink. Adhere to folded black card. Stamp quote from Tick Tock Rubber Stamp Set onto kraft cardstock using Jet Black Archival Ink pad. Emboss a piece of black cardstock with a script embossing folder and distress the edges with a paper distresser. Adhere the stamped quote to the embossed cardstock and mount onto card using foam adhesive.
Connie Mercer has created a colorful card with the Clocks Background Stamp:
Stamp the Clocks Background Stamp on white cardstock with a combination of Jet Black and Vermillion Archival inks. Stamp leaves from the Carved Leaves Rubber Stamp Set in green ink and cut it out. Stamp the sentiment from Simple Sentiments Rubber Stamp Set and cut it out. Sponge around edges of stamped images with light brown ink. Embellish with Die-cut of clock (Tim Holtz) and clock button. Add twine and sentiment to complete!
Robyn Wood has created a few cards to share with us today:
Stamp Clocks background onto white card using Archival Jet Black ink. Trim to suit a black card front. Sponge edges with Fired Brick Distress ink. Tie with red ribbon and mount onto card front. Stamp quote from Etched Flowers stamp set using Archival Jet Black ink and trim closely. Sponge edges with Fired Brick Distress ink and layer with black card stock. Attach to card front with foam tape.
Stamp Clocks background onto white card using Archival Jet Black ink. Draw over some areas of the background using a white crayon. Lightly spritz background with Peacock Feathers Distress Spray and allow to dry. The wax from the crayon will resist the spray ink so that some areas will remain white. Wipe lightly with a tissue to remove any residual spray from the crayon. Layer background with dark purple cardstock and mount onto card front. Stamp wording and a small car from the Vintage Automobiles set onto white cardstock using Jet Black Archival Ink. Trim and layer with dark purple cardstock. Affix wording to card front with double sided tape. Layer vintage car with a larger piece of black cardstock using foam tape, leaving room for the next step. Tear the bottom edge and affix some buttons so that they sit in a jumbled line underneath the car image. Affix a folded piece of ribbon to the upper left edge.
Stamp Clocks background onto white card using Archival Jet Black ink. Sponge card using Squeezed Lemonade and Crushed Olive Distress Inks. Leave some areas a lighter colour for interest. Trim background to approx. 14.5 x 10.5 cm and round the corners on one of the long edges. Luckily the pattern of the background works however it is orientated so there is no right way up. Sponge edges with Soot Distress Ink. Trim out a piece of patterned paper with similar tones and an abstract pattern. Sponge with Crushed Olive Distress Ink and round the bottom corners. Trim out two images from the Prague Montage sheet and distress the edges. Affix to patterned paper piece and tie the top of the paper with some ribbon. Affix to Clocks background. Prepare a green card front measuring 15cm square by sponging edges with Crushed Olive Distress Ink. Stamp randomly along the top and bottom of the card with Mesh Texture stamp using Crushed Olive Distress Ink. Affix a strip of lace to the bottom edge of the card front and place the assembled clocks piece over the top Add a word trimmed from the Prague Vol 2 Wordstrips mounted with foam tape.
