Christmas Post Collage Stamp Project Ideas

30 October 2015

Hi stampers! With only around 6 weeks until Christmas, it's time to start thinking about Christmas cards! Today we are sharing some great ideas using the Christmas Post Collage Stamp.

Belinda Spencer has created two cards with a layered and distressed look.

Instructions:
1. Apply the Woodgrain Background Stamp to a piece of smooth white cardstock, cut to size, using Potting Soil Ranger Archival Ink. Rub in some Gathered Twigs Tim Holtz Distress Ink around the edges using an ink blending tool. Distress the edges and ink with the Gathered Twigs ink. Stick down on a kraft cardstock base.
2. Cut another piece of white cardstock slightly smaller than the first. Apply the Shadow 6 Up Frame Stamp using Red Geranium Ranger Archival Ink in the centre of this piece. Distress the edges and ink with Festive Berries Tim Holtz Distress Ink.
3. Apply the Christmas Post Collage Stamp three times onto some scrap white cardstock. Stamp it twice with the Potting Soil ink and once with the Red Geranium ink. Cut out all six squares from one of the brown stamped sets. Distress the edges of each square and ink with the Gathered Twigs ink. Stick down on the red Shadow 6 Up frame.
4. Fussy cut some images from the red stamped squares and glue over the top of the brown images on the card front. Cut out the 25 Dec circle from the second lot of brown images stamped and stick down on the card front.
5. Add a coil of red and white twine around the circular image on the card and staple in place. Now the card front can be stuck down on the Woodgrain piece.
6. Stamp the Brushed Stars Background Stamp onto a scrap of white cardstock using the Red Geranium ink. Cut out three of the stars and add to the card using 3D foam.
7. Stamp the 'Merry' from the Merry Christmas Rubber Stamp Set onto white cardstock using the Red Geranium ink. Fussy cut and add to the card front using 3D foam.

Here's another example Belinda created using just two of the squares from the Christmas Post Collage Stamp.

Suzz Czosek has created a soft sweet card with glitter:

Instructions:
1. Stamp image using Ranger Archival Watering Can on white cardstock.
2. Color image using watercolor pencils and waterbrush.
3. Distress edges of stamped image with distressing tool.
4. Stamp snowflakes on white cardbase using Watering Can ink.
5. Accent main panel with buttons, pearls, sequins, twine and glitter.
6. Assemble card.

Godelieve Tijskens has created a tag using the Christmas Post Collage Stamp:

Instructions:
1. Cut a tag out of kraft cardstock.  Mine is handcut, size is 18 x 9 cm
2. Stamp the image with Archival Ink Potting Soil
3. Use colored pencils to color the image
4. Add texture by using a stencil and Distress Ink Frayed Burlap.
5. Ink the edges with the same Distress Ink
6. On the bottom of the tag I used my good old paper crimper
7. The tag was finished off with stickles on the ornaments, a punched circle as a tag topper, twine and a narrow strip of green cardstock

Rachel Greig has used the stamp with Distress Markers:

Instructions:
1. Stamp Christmas Post Collage Stamp onto gloss cardstock with Archival Jet Black ink pad. Allow to dry.
2. Colour the stamped image with Distress Markers. I have coloured directly onto the cardstock, but if you want a softer touch, use a waterbrush to blend the colours.
3. Mount stamped image onto red and green cardstock.
4. Stamp the pine leaf from Dear Santa Vol 2 Rubber Stamp set around the edges of a folded kraft card using Archival Olive ink pad.
5. Mount the stamped image to the front of the card using 3D foam adhesive.
