Hi, it’s Belinda Spencer here today to share two cards I have created using the fabulous new Cheetah Background Stamp.
Instructions:
1. Cut a piece of smooth white cardstock 10cm x 14.5cm. Apply the Cheetah Background Stamp using Tim Holtz Distress Embossing Ink. Heat set with black embossing powder.
2. Using an ink blending tool, apply Fossilized Amber, Picked Raspberry and Spiced Marmalade Distress Inks. Distress the edges. Ink with Black Soot Distress Ink.
3. Punch a 2” circle from the smooth white cardstock. Apply the Distress Inks as per the background. Stamp just the head area of the cheetah from the Wild Africa Vol. 1 set onto smooth white cardstock using Jet Black Archival Ink. Fussy cut the cheetah head and add it to the punched circle. Glue the bottom of the cheetah head piece to the circle so it is not sticking up. Distress the edges and ink with the Black Soot ink. Add to the cheetah background piece using 3D foam.
4. Create a wire thread or twine circle and place around the circular cheetah piece. Staple in place.
5. Stamp a small heart from the Hearts set onto white cardstock with the Jet Black ink. Ink with the Picked Raspberry ink. Fussy cut and add to the left hand side of the cheetah circle with 3D foam. Stamp two of the tiny hearts from the set, ink, fussy cut and add those to the card front with 3D foam also. Stamp the cheetah paw prints, fussy cut and add those too.
6. Stamp the sentiment onto white cardstock with the Jet Black ink. Fussy cut and add to the card front with 3D foam.
7. Cut a piece of kraft cardstock 15cm x 21cm. Fold in half to create the card base. Attach the card front to this piece.
Instructions:
1. Cut a piece of white cardstock 15cm x 21cm. Fold in half to form the card base.
2. Cut another piece of smooth white cardstock 10cm x 14.5cm. Centre it on the card base and punch a 2” circle through this piece and the card front. Apply the cheetah background to the card front using Distress Embossing Ink. Heat set with black embossing powder.
3. Use an ink blending tool to apply Broken China, Cracked Pistachio and Twisted Citron Distress Inks to the cheetah background piece. Distress the edges and ink with Black Soot Distress Ink. Applt the Black Soot ink to the edge of the circular window also. Stick this piece onto the card front.
4. Use the window in the front of the card as a stencil to draw a faint pencil outline onto the inside back of the card. Stamp the cheetah from the Wild Africa Vol. 2 onto the inside of the card base with Jet Black Archival Ink making sure the head of the cheetah is inside the pencilled in circle. Allow the ink to dry before erasing the pencil line. Also stamp the ‘cheetah’ word from the same set.
5. Stamp two tags from the Tags set onto smooth white cardstock using the Jet Black ink. Apply the same Distress Inks as per the background before fussy cutting. Add to the card front. Create a circle from black wire thread or twine and staple to the front of the card.
6. Stamp the sentiment from the Wild Africa Vol. 2 set onto smooth white cardstock with the Jet Black ink. Cut out and ink the edges with the Twisted Citron ink. Add to the card front using 3D foam.
7. To finish, stamp the cheetah paw prints with the Jet Black ink, fussy cut and add to the card with 3D foam.
