Hi, Connie Mercer here today, sharing some ideas for creating with the Small Carved Leaves stencil. It is a beautiful stencil and just the right size for cards! Here’s 4 card ideas for you:
Instructions:
Creating the background for the card:
1. Lay the stencil over the cardstock and lightly add colour. I used Brushed Corduroy Distress ink.
2. Stencil with the Large Mesh stencil in random spots using Archival Jet Black ink. Again lightly.
3. Using the small circle stencil, tape down (off centre) and stencil in 3 shades of colour. I used Brushed Corduroy, Faded Jeans and Peeled Paint Distress Ink.
4. Adhere the background to coordinating cardstock with dimensional foam squares. Then adhere to a folded card base.
5. Stencil 3 or 4 leaves using the same inks listed above. Shading lightly with the 3 colours of ink.
6. Trim them out.
7. Stamp two leaves, from the Carved Leaves Vol. 2 set, using the same inks, as above. Dab a little colour, of each shade, and then stamp on off white cardstock. Trim out.
8. Start building your focal point to the side of the stenciled circle.
9. Adhere the leaves, one flat and one with dimensional foam squares.
10. Adhere small pieces of ribbon and buttons.
11. Stamp the sentiment on off white cardstock using black ink.
12. Trim out in a rectangle and mat on coordinating cardstock.
13. Adhere to the center of the ribbons.
14. Add vintage corner to right top corner.
