Hi everyone! It's Suzz here! I am always looking for a quick birthday card. Mygirls are constantly looking for birthday cards for friends. When I saw the new Simple Sayings from Darkroom door my mind started thinking about a series of cards featuring the new Eclectic Butterfly and a variety of of the Simple Sayings.
Myfirst card uses pastel chalks. I stamped thebutterfly using Versamark on white cardstock. I used Pastel Chalks to apply color to the butterfly. I love how it makes asoft glow to the butterfly. I stamped the sentiment using Ranger Distress Ink Picked Raspberry over the center of the butterfly. I mounted the image on the yellow cardstock and onto a white cardbase.
My next butterfly is embossed:
I stamped the butterfly using Ranger Archival Ink - Veridianand sprinkled a Teal embossing enamel over thesurface. I purposely only sprinkled in areas to give the uneven effectof stamped areas versus the embossed areas. I stamped the sentiment using the Veridian ink andfollowed the same embossing process.
My next card is stamped using dye inks.
This was the quickest card ever and perfect size for a pocket on the inside for a gift card. I used Ranger Distress Inks -Seedless Preserves and Ripe Persimmons.
For my last card I combined acrylic paint and embossing powder:
I inked up the butterfly using a Ranger Distress Paint dauber. Istamped it and heat embossed with Crystal EmbossingPowder. The background is stamped using the Darkroom Door Word Stamp - Creativity in Ripe Persimmons. I embossed the background with the crystal embossing powder.
Ihad fun using a variety of inks and techniques to create a series ofcards and now I have on hand a handful of mini cards for my daughtersto use.
