Hi there! It’s Teresa Abajohere today to share two cards using the Boxes 6 Up Frame Stamp and matching stencil.
Instructions:
1. Stamp the island silhouette from the Tropical Island stamp set using Archival ink. I used a MISTI stamp positioning tool because I planned to stamp this image again over the top of all the sponging in the last step.
2. Tape the edges a piece of white cardstock down to a craft sheet with painter's tape, then tape the Boxes 6 Up stencil over this to prevent any movement.
3. Sponge some Antique Linen Distress Oxide Ink in the area you want a moon to appear. Use a circle punch or die to cut a circle from a Post It Note and place it over the moon.
4. Sponge some Faded Jeans Distress Oxide Ink over the Post It Note and the rest of the image, keeping an area under the moon a little lighter to look like moonlight reflecting on the water.
5. With the stencil still in place, spatter some water droplets over the sponged ink then blot with paper towel. Remove the stencil and dry well.
6. Apply a spray fixative or Distress Micro Glaze over the image, then replace this piece into the MISTI and stamp the island silhouette image again in black ink. This ensures a sharp, well-defined image.
7. Stamp the sentiment over the moon and emboss with clear embossing powder. Trim the edges to neaten and adhere to the front of a white card over some kraft cardstock.
8. Stamp some of the leaves from the Tropical Leaves stamp set using Bundled Sage, Peeled Paint and Forest Moss Distress Oxide Inks. Fussy cut and adhere to the card. Add a raffia bow.
Supplies used:
Darkroom Door Small Stencil Boxes 6 Up
Darkroom Door Tropical Island Stamp Set
Darkroom Door Tropical Leaves Stamp Set
Distress Oxide ink: Antique Linen, Faded Jeans, Bundled Sage, Peeled Paint, Forest Moss
Archival ink: Jet Black
Instructions:
1. Stamp the Boxes 6 Up Frame stamp onto a piece of white card using Archival ink. Tape this down to a craft sheet using painter's tape.
2. Align the Boxes 6 Up stencil over the stamped image and tape down with painter's tape to prevent movement.
3. Sponge through the stencil with Old Paper, Bundled Sage and Forest Moss inks, creating a gradient in each square.
4. Stamp the wildflower images onto the sponged areas with the stencil still in place. It may be necessary to press the stamp down a little harder than usual to ensure the ink gets right up to the edge of the stencil.
5. Remove the stencil and trim the edges of this piece. Mount onto copper, then sage green cardstock, then adhere to the front of a card.
6. Stamp the sentiment onto sage green cardstock and emboss with copper embossing powder. Adhere to card front with foam tape and embellish with flowers.
