Hi, it's Belinda Spencer here today to share two projects I have created featuring the totally fabulous Art Studio Border Stamp.
First is an art journal page:
I just couldn't wait to have a play with this stamp in my art journal. I have teamed it up with the 'Happy' Quote Stamp to sum up exactly how I feel about creating something every day. I am using an altered Little Golden Book for my current art journal so I started by sealing the pages with a coat of heavy white gesso. I then played around with colour using Lindy's Stamp Gang Magicals as well as Kaisermists. Once this layer was dry, I added some stamping using the Brushstrokes Rubber Stamp Set and Archival Inks. I applied the Art Studio Border Stamp onto some tissue paper using Jet Black Archival Ink and then dried it off with a heat gun. I used Prima Soft Matte Gel to apply the tissue paper to the journal page across the bottom as well as some torn pieces across the top. Once that was dry, I added some highlights to the images using a white Posca Pen.
To finish I added some more stamping using the Jet Black ink because you can never have too much stamping on your art journal page! To accentuate the quote, I stamped it onto white cardstock first before cutting it up and adding to the page.
Supplies used:

Darkroom Door Happy Quote Stamp
Darkroom Door Everyday Life Rubber Stamp Set
Darkroom Door Paint Splats Rubber Stamp Set
Darkroom Door Brush Strokes Rubber Stamp Set
Darkroom Door Happy Birthday Rubber Stamp Set
Archival Ink: Aquamarine, Cactus Flower, Jet Black, Paradise Teal
For my second project I have altered a cute little clipboard that I picked up at Kmart. This is how it looked before I had a little arty fun with it.
I began by covering the whole clipboard with pages torn from a thesaurus. I then added a coat of heavy white gesso to seal the paper. I wanted to create a rainbow of colour to sit under the border stamp so I used Kaisermists and allowed them to run down the clipboard.
Next I added a layer of neon stamping in rainbow colours using the Paint Splats Rubber Stamp Set to add to the messy paint effect.
Then it was time to add the border stamp using Jet Black Archival Ink. I also stamped it again on white cardstock and fussy cut a few of the images to layer on top.
To finish I added some more neon coloured paint splats as well as the quotes.
