Watercoloured Yuletide Greetings

Darkroom Door - Wednesday, December 19, 2018

Hi there! It’s Autumn Clark here today to share two Christmas cards using the Yuletide Greetings Stamp Set and Spanish Tiles Background Stamp

These cards were inspired by meditative coloring. Using a variety of embossing powders and Distress Inks can yield numerous color combinations for your own card creations.

1. Emboss the Spanish Tile Background Stamp in red and white embossing powder on two separate panels.
2. Color the patterns with Fired Brick and Pine Needles Distress Inks using a water brush. Tip: Use the lighter color (red) first then work darker.
3. Stamp sentiments from the Yuletide Greetings Stamp Set into die cut panels in coordinating inks.
4. Sponge die cut holly and berries with coordinating inks and layer as shown.

These traditional colors put me in the festive spirit, but switching up the color palette and embellishments will help you customize your creations. I’m sure you will find coloring your Spanish Tile Background Stamp therapeutic and the result will be beautiful!
