The road to a friend's house is never long...

Godelieve has created this great hanging artwork which includes a fabulous idea on using Montage sheets. Can't see the Montage sheet in the image above? Then check this out:

Godelieve has used the white areas around the Montage photos to use as a frame. Of course you'd need to cut the actual photos out with a craft knife rather than a paper trimmer so you keep the frame intact. I think it's very clever!! Here's the frame stamped with the Plaid Background:

And full instructions from Godelieve here:

- I used leftover pieces from the Yuletide montage sheet as a frame (see photo above)
- Stamped the Plaid Background with Colorbox Fluid Chalk ink
- Added more color with Frayed Burlap Distress Ink and Ranger ink blending tool.
- Stamped the Country Cottage, Vintage Automobile and quotes with Memories Black ink, distressed the background with more Distress Ink - Frayed Burlap.
- Glued the frame onto the stamped piece, and secured with staples from Tim Holtz tiny attacher
- Layered with black cardstock
- Glued onto corrugated cardboard
- Attached Tim Holtz Hinge Clips and ribbon
- Attached the button and twine with Judikins Diamond Glaze

Here's some close ups of the finished project:

Isn't it fabulous!!!

Thanks for sharing Godelieve :)
