Buttons ATC

Darkroom Door - Monday, September 14, 2015
Hi! Belinda here today to share with you my ATC for the ‘Buttons’ theme featuring the Weathered Stripes and Splatter Texture Stamps and Viva Décor Transparent Red Croco.

Instructions:

1. To create the background start by stamping the Weathered Stripes Texture Stamp onto ATC sized white cardstock using Rose Madder Ranger Archival Ink.

2. Use a palette knife to apply some Viva Décor Croco in Transparent Red over the surface. You don’t want to cover the whole surface though. Allow to dry.

3. Spray some Heidi Swapp Color Shine in Pink over the top and set aside to dry.

4. The flower has been created using the stamp kissing technique. First apply Rose Madder Ranger Archival Ink to the Carved Flower stamp. Apply Plum Ranger Archival Ink to the Splatter Texture Stamp and then press the Splatter stamp onto the flower stamp. Apply onto white cardstock. Repeat to create two flowers then cut them out, scrunch them a little and layer together. Thread your button and glue on top of the flower.

5. You can create a stem out of almost anything but here I have used Prima Wire Thread as it is so easy to bend how you want it and it stays! I secured the stem to my atc with a Tim Holtz Tiny Attacher and then glued the flower head on top.

6. Finally create a little flower pot from corrugated cardstock. Add a little gesso over the top and then adhere a sentiment.

Supplies used:
Darkroom Door Weathered Stripes Texture Stamp
Darkroom Door Splatter Texture Stamp

Darkroom Door Carved Flowers Rubber Stamp Set
Darkroom Door Bold Blossoms Rubber Stamp Set
Darkroom Door Artist Rubber Stamp Set
VIVA DÉCOR Croco Transparent Red
Archival Ink: Jet Black, Plum, Rose Madder
Distress Ink: Worn Lipstick

Thankyou so much for stopping by the blog and checking out my atc today!

Cheers
