Hi stampers, it is Godelieve Tijskens today, sharing cards with the Spiral Notebook Frame Stamp. There are many possibilities with this stamp, let me show you a few ideas:
I always love the layered look you can get on a card using the masking technique. The Spiral Notebook stamp works very well with this technique. If you never used masking before, maybe this is the perfect stamp to try it. It looks complicated to do, but is very easy.
Instructions:
1. Stamp the Spiral Notebook stamp at an angle on the bottom of a white folded card, using black Archival ink. Cover the stamped image with a post-it note to stamp the second above the first one. Cover this print too with a mask to stamp the notebook a third time.
2. Remove the masks. The images appear 'behind' each other.
3. Decorate the first notebook cover with flower stamps. Scribble with Distress Markers onto the Nature Walk stamps to ink them up. Use a stamp platform to be able to re-stamp to build up the colors.
4. Start with the light colours. Use darker colors where you want them: at the base of the flowers, tip of the leaves, one side of the stem, … Keep adding color until you are happy with the result.
5. While the masks are still in place, sponge a bit of color around the flowers, using Distress Oxide ink and a mini ink blending tool.
6. To decorate the second notebook place a mask on top of the first one.
7. Ink another stamp from the Nature Walk set with Distress Markers. I used 3 shades of green here.
8. Stamp the Grid Texture stamp on this notebook, using Archival Ink Shadow Grey
9. Mask again to stamp and sponge on the third notebook.
10. Mask all notebooks and use the Plaid Texture stamp with a bright Archival inkpad to stamp around the notebooks.
11. To finish off the card, add shadow around the notebooks, using a pencil and add words from the Nature Walk set.

This next idea uses gel printing.
Instructions:
1. Stamp the Spiral Notebook over a gel print. I used a gel print from my stash, it was made with acrylic paints and the Large Circles Stencil.
2. Cut the stamped notebook out, ignoring the binding rings, you can cut these off.
3. Decorate the cover with the 'Being Creative' quote stamp and the pen from the Artist stamp set. Glue a few paper strips behind the cover and add a paper clip.
4. Stamp the Spiral Notebook again on matching cardstock.
5. Glue the gel print notebook in place, lining up the binding rings, and adhere the panel to a cream folded card.
Supplies used:
Darkroom Door Spiral Notebook Frame Stamp
Darkroom Door Artist Stamp Set
Darkroom Door Large Stencil: Circles
Archival Inkpad: Jet Black

This last card shows how to create an open notebook:
Instructions:
1. Stamp the Spiral Notebook stamp onto white cardstock using black Archival Ink.
2. To stamp the left page you can use a stamp positioner. I used my Misti with a sheet of acetate.
3. The Spiral Notebook was first stamped onto the acetate.
4. Now I was able to slide the white cardstock under the acetate to the right spot, so the binding rings would line up.
5. I removed the acetate and stamped the Spiral Notebook again.
6. To stamp the lines I used the Calendar stamp with Archival Ink Shadow Grey.
7. Red, yellow and blue Distress Inks were used to sponge the rainbow colors. You get orange and green where the colors overlap
8. The 'Look for Stars' quote was stamped at the left page using black Archival ink
9. On the right page I used several stamps from the Stars set. They are stamped onto white cardstock using black Archival Ink and cut out.
10. The Spiral Notebook was cut to size, and glued onto a folded card.
Supplies used:
Darkroom Door Spiral Notebook Frame Stamp
Darkroom Door Stars Stamp Set
Darkroom Door Calendar Stamp Set
Darkroom Door Look for Stars Quote Stamp
Archival Inkpads: Jet Black, Shadow Grey
Distress Inkpads: Candied Apple, Salty Ocean, Mustard Seed
Mini Ink Blending Tools
Stamp Positioner
