Floral Texture Patchwork Butterfly Card

Darkroom Door - Wednesday, June 11, 2014
Hi, Connie here with a card made from the new Patchwork Butterfly Collage Stamp and the Floral Texture Stamp.  I loved how these stamps complimented each other in this card design.

1. The images were stamped on a sheet of watercolor paper that had a wash of light brown color on it.

2. The images were stamped with Ranger Archival Ink (Fern Green, Potting Soil).

3. The Butterfly was colored in with LuminArte' H2O's.

4. The edges of the watercolor paper were torn to make a rectangle.

5. The rectangle was matted on cardstock and then to the front of the card.

6. Seam binding ribbon was added along with the sentiment.  The ribbon was colored with the H2O's (teal)

7. Acrylic white paint was splashed on the front with a toothbrush (thin out the paint).

Supplies Used:
Darkroom Door Love Birds Stamp Set (sentiment)
Darkroom Door Floral Texture Stamp
Darkroom Door Patchwork Butterfly Collage Stamp
Ranger Archival Ink (Wendy Vecchi)
LuminArte' H2O's

A super-pretty card Connie. I agree - the Patchwork Butterfly Collage and Floral Texture stamps look wonderful together!

This is just gorgeous! Really love your choice of colors and how you have stamped onto and torn the watercolor paper. I have just shared this post over at Unruly PaperArts to promote Darkroom Door who are our sites sponsors this month. It was so lovely to meet Rachel in Brisbane on the weekend too!
