Feather Texture Artist Trading Card

Darkroom Door - Friday, May 23, 2014
Hi! Belinda here today to share with you my texture atc for the April swap using the gorgeous new Feathers Stamp Set with heat embossing, inking and distressing.

1. Swipe some gesso over a piece of book paper using a make-up wedge. Allow to dry completely. Apply a little glue to a piece of white cardstock cut to size and stick down the book paper. Tear around the edges.

2. Apply Antique Linen Distress Ink to this piece using an ink blending tool or sponge. Distress the edges and apply more Antique Linen Distress Ink.

3. Spray on a little Heidi Swapp Color Shine in Navy across the top of this piece and allow it to drip down. Allow to dry completely.

4. Cut a piece of white muslin to size and then stretch it with your fingers to create a tattered and distressed look. Stick down using a small piece of double sided tape. Spray a little Heirloom Gold Ranger Perfect Pearls Mist. Allow to dry.

5. Apply the feather stamp to a piece of smooth white cardstock using Tim Holtz Distress Embossing Ink. Sprinkle over some Stampendous Aged Marine Embossing Enamel and carefully heat from below to set. Cut out the feather and ink the edges with Lightning Black Brilliance Ink. Staple onto your atc front.

6. Wrap some twine around a small twig and attach metal charms to the ends. Glue onto the atc.

7. Stamp your sentiment onto white cardstock. Cut out and ink before attaching to your atc front. Stick this whole piece onto a piece of kraft cardstock cut to atc size.
