Fallen Leaves Garden Cards

Darkroom Door - Monday, October 27, 2014

Hi , Connie here with a couple of cards using the Carved Leaves Vol 1 Rubber Stamp Set and Fallen Leaves Background Stamp. These two go together so wonderfully.

1. Take the Fallen Leaves background stamp and use three different shades of either green or brown and randomly apply ink over the stamp in different areas.
2. Huff on the ink (to keep the ink wet  and stamp on white cardstock. You will see all the shades of ink on the image. Very pretty effect.
3. Stamp leaves from the Carved Leaves Vol 1 stamp set. Use the same three inks that you used to stamp the background with.
4. You will need about 6 or 7 of different leaves for each style of card shown here.
5. Fussy cut them out.

6. I used the Robin Eclectic Stamp and butterfly from the Wings Rubber Stamps as the focal of the cards. Stamp those and fussy cut them out.
7. Arrange the stamped Carved Leaves and adhere to the stamped Fallen Leaves background. Add the focal image to the center of the leaf cluster.
8. Mat background panel to coordinating cardstock.
9. Add sentiment and trim. The Robin Image has some added REAL feathers, remember I live on a Ranch! :)

Great cards! Love the multi-colored background stamping. How pretty does the bird look, and the butterlfy, surrounded by leaves.
