Christmas Tree Set Small Stencil Ideas

Darkroom Door - Thursday, November 21, 2019

Hi there! Today we are sharing lots of different ways to use the new Christmas Tree Set Stencil!

This stencil set consists of a Christmas Tree shape stencil and the matching solid shape which can be used as a mask and in lots of other ways. We have lots of projects to share with you showing how this stencil set can be used!

To start with, here’s a really simple and effective idea by Rachel, using Distress Inks to sponge through the stencil. Rachel has used Peeled Paint Distress Ink and sponged more ink around the edges so it has a darker edge. While the stencil is in place, stamp the Starry Night Background Stamp through the stencil and emboss with gold embossing powder. Stamp a sentiment from the Stitched Christmas Stamp Set underneath.

Here are some ideas by Connie:

Connie has created a card and matching envelope using the Christmas Tree Stencil, then placed the Christmas Tree mask over where she has sponged, to use the Mesh Stencil over the top. A great way to add pattern to your background!

Connie has also created some Christmas decorations using the stencil and trimming them out! A clever idea and great way to decorate your home! You can read more about Connie’s projects here.

Here are some colourful cards by Anneke where she has inked up the stencil with Distress Ink and pressed it onto the card front! Anneke has used different colours for the inside stencil shape to the outside, so it gives the card more colour and contrast! It’s a wonderful way to use both stencil pieces and create some fabulous quick cards! Here’s two more:

Anneke has also created a fun art journal page using the Christmas Tree Set Stencil with paint! Anneke has also used the Christmas Small Stamp, Christmas Script Background Stamp, Carved House Stamp Set, Checkered & Grid Texture Stamps. Read more about this project here.
