Butterfly Tags and Picture Stand

Darkroom Door - Tuesday, February 11, 2014
Hi, Connie here with a tag idea using a couple of Background Stamps and the Wings Stamp Set.

I also added some paint and ink to an old door knob and made a picture stand out of it. Here's what I did:
Door knob:
1. Paint the door knob with gesso. Hit with heat tool, to help it dry.
2. Paint with Maya Gold.
3. Rub on different colors of Inka Gold.
4. Add clip.
1. Drag tag through several different colors of the Dylusion's Ink Sprays. Dry with heat gun after each colour.
2. Stamp Triangle Background stamp in white Dylusion's Ink. Dry with heat tool.
3. Stamp Script Background stamp with Archival Ink.
4. Ink sides of tag (for shading) with Archival Black Ink.
5. Tear a small piece of water colour paper /cold press (using the smooth side) drag it through colors of
Dylusion's Ink. After each colour dry with heat tool.
6. Stamp Butterfly on water colour paper with Archival Black Ink. Stamp small Butterfly with Archival Black
    Ink and cut it out.
7. Glue small Butterfly in center of large Butterfly. Pop dot water color paper to the tag.
8. Add label sticker at bottom and ribbon at top.

It is also fun to flick some water on the tag. It will leave water spots (removes the colour)
Supplies used:
