Bright Mini Jar Eclectic Stamp Cards

Darkroom Door - Friday, June 02, 2017
Hi, it’s Anneke de Clerck here. Today I have two cards to share that I’ve made with the new Mini Jar Eclectic Stamp. This stamp has the perfect size to use on cards but I’m planning to use the stamp in combination with the big jar in my art journal as well.

Instructions
1. Paint stripes using pink, magenta and lime paint. Don’t clean your brush before moving to the next color, this will make the colors blend nicely.
2. Load the Checkered Background Stamp with Fluorescent Magenta paint using a brayer. Make a print on white paper. Stamp the Mini Jar on top with Archival Ink Jet Black and cut out. Stamp the lid again on white paper and cut out.
3. Stamp a flower from the Carved Flower set twice with Fluorescent Magenta and three times with Lawn Fawn Ink Minty Fresh. Cut out.
4. Cut stems and leaves out of white paper, paint with Distress Ink Cracked Pistachio and Iced Spruce.
5. Assemble flowers and jar as shown. Use 3D foam to attach the flowers. Make a split into the lid, slide leaves and stems into it.
6. Stamp text with Archival Ink Jet Black.
7. Create shadow by scribbling with a black Scribble Stick, go over it with a water brush.
8. Add white details with a Posca pen and decorate the jar with small fuchsia paper strips.

2. Stamp on top with the Checkered Background Stamp and Carbon Black paint. Use a brayer to load the stamp.
3. Remove the masks and color the flowers with pink, yellow, orange and magenta paint.
4. Paint the jar with Broken China, Weathered Wood and Mermaid Lagoon Distress Ink using a water brush. Stamp on top with the Checkered Texture Stamp using Iced Spruce Distress Ink.
5. Draw stems with a black pen. For the stems in the jar use a pencil in combination with a white pen. Create shadow with a charcoal pencil.

Hi there, just wanted to let you know that we had a great vacation at Marina de Bolnuevo in June of this year (http://www.marinadebolnuevo.co.uk/about-bolnuevo). We flew into Alicante and hired a car from the airport for the short drive to Bolnuevo. The beaches are fantastic, most of them awarded the Blue Flag. The restaurents were great, with paella on the beach a must and managed a trip to the nudist beach there. Very liberating. We also visited the Big Guns, The Roman Mines and the Sand sculptures. Will be returning there again next year. Look forward to meeting you at Marina de Bolnuevo in the next few months. Thanks for reading Tony.
