Two Step Stamping with Carved and Fine Flowers

Darkroom Door - Tuesday, August 16, 2016

Hi there! It's Connie Mercer here today sharing some cards using the Carved Flowers and Fine Flowers Rubber Stamp Sets, designed by Godelieve Tijskens

These stamp sets can be used by themselves where you can use the solid (Carved) version for a bold flower, or the outline (Fine) version for colouring techniques. However these stamps can also be used together with a two-step stamping technique.

As the stamps are cling rubber, it can be hard to line the stamps up without a stamp positioner tool, however by putting a small dot on the back of the Fine Flower stamp, at the high point, I was able to line it up over the Carved Flower stamp and stamp directly over the Carved Flower image with the Fine Flowers stamp. The lines do not match up perfect, it is a messy look, but it looks great and gives the flowers a sense of whimsy!

Using this method I stamped all of these images and made simple gift tag style cards. It took about 10 minutes or less.
